Job Description : The Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is currently seeking talented candidates for a Project Coordinator at our Silver Springs, NV location. At NATC, our Project Coordinator supports a team conducting various technical projects for a wide range of customers. The team, as a group, completes the designing, manufacturing, and testing of innovative automotive mobility solutions, and the project coordinator specifically assists in ensuring the project is completed in a manner that meets the customer’s expectations, as well as aligns with the NATC brand
Founded in 1957, the Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is a privately owned, independent test, evaluation, design and engineering facility offering development and certification testing to customers worldwide. NATC specializes in completing projects that require innovative and unique approaches to solve complex technical problems. At NATC, we take our customer’s problems on as our own, and work to ensure our efforts meet our customer’s needs and provides them with relevant and value added information.
NATC’s location in the great basin of Nevada allows our team to access terrain that can represent 85% of the world within a 150 mile radius, providing an excellent test bed for off-road mobility. NATC’s operational area includes 1200 sq. miles of natural terrain, that when coupled with 6,200 acres of privately owned test courses, create an unparalleled testing area available to our engineers to innovate and solve our customer’s problems. We have substantial international experience, which allows us to evaluate products intended for global markets knowledgeably and objectively. NATC has compiled an extensive database of worldwide operational and infrastructure conditions allowing accurate definition of user duty cycles and creation of test programs that are representative of service environments around the world. NATC is a leading innovator in translating real-world conditions into validated virtual proving ground simulation and virtual prototyping.
Position Summary:
Performs a wide variety of project related services including developing a variety of reports, monthly progress/status reports and data to support invoices. Is a direct interface to the customer for non-technical aspect of projects including schedules, deliverables, budgets and travel. Assist in the organization, scheduling and administration support of meetings. Assists in performing technical and analytical work which requires the ability to learn and apply established methods, procedures and techniques.
Prepares, coordinates and/or reviews the preparation of plans, forms, reports, schedules and milestones. Assist in the organization, scheduling and administration support of meetings. Proposes agenda topics, tracks resulting action items, coordinates development of presentations, and ensures complete coordination. Monitors issues pertaining to project compliance, schedule and corrective actions. Conducts limited collection, analysis, integration, categorization, and summarization of technical and funding data on programs. Using analysis will develop briefings, information papers, and reports that explain and support routine program initiatives, solutions and investments.
Essential Functions:
· Participate in project meetings and propose improvements if necessary
· Evaluate potential programmatic problems and develop solutions
· Plan and manage team goals, project schedules and new information
· Monitor projects and coordinate team members to keep workflow on track
· Coordinate project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored
· Direct project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails
· Communicate with clients to ensure project requirements, scope and objectives are current and on track
· Participate in project meetings and propose improvements if necessary
· Evaluate potential programmatic problems and develop solutions
·
· Monitor expenses and implementing cost-saving measures as directed by the Project Manager
· Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
· Associate’s Degree in business administration or related field, Project Management, business or related field or equivalent certification.
· Experience performing the duties of the position may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Three years of professional experience in program or project coordination.
· Experience in project coordination and scheduling
· An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
· Organizational skills, including time-management and scheduling
· Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
· Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite.
· Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
· BSc in Business Administration or related field
· Experience with DoD contract requirements (CDRLRs)
· Project accounting experience
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
This is primarily an office position, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods of time, lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. However, this position also requires walking on uneven ground and climbing stairs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work hours may vary due to project needs.
Travel:
No overnight travel is expected for this position. There may be occasional local day travel.
