Position : Quality Control Inspector

Job Description : Position OverviewAs a Quality Control Inspector in Training, you will inspect finished goods and raw materials, perform physical testing, and audit production and shipping processes for compliance. You will coordinate with department heads to support daily production requirements that include established timelines.Essential FunctionsGeneral: · Adherence to PPE requirements and safety practices.· Operate laboratory and material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet safety, quality, and production standards.· Communicate with co-workers and supervisors.· Follow written and verbal instructions.· Consistent completion of accurate records/documentation (logbooks & other cGMP documents).· Basic understanding of inspection procedures outlined in SOPQA2012 and SOPQA2000.· Maintain the standard of organization and cleanliness in inspection areas.· Safely operate manual pallet jacks and electric pallet jacks.· Have a clear understanding of Non-conformance reporting (NCR) Process and ability to correctly complete all related documentation.· Inspect bulk and bottled product, raw ingredients, and components.· Perform physical testing.· Perform first offs and line clearances.· Review and release material for production and shipping.· Work and travel between multiple facilities.· Efficiently perform job duties in order to meet established turn-around times.QualificationsEducation/Experience: · Required:o High School Diploma.· Preferred:o Associates Degree.o One-year experience in related field.Skills: · Able to work in a team environment with a diverse workforce.· Punctual and Good Attendance· Good communication, math, reading and writing skills.· Basic clerical and mechanical aptitude.· Able to work in a fast-paced repetitive work environment.· Quality, safety minded, reliable, precise, and self-motivated.· Must be detail oriented, and able to spot defects or errors in all formats.· Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS office.Physical RequirementsWorking Conditions on the Production Floor: · Must be able to work in a fast-paced light manufacturing environment.· PPE requirements: safety glasses, respiratory protection, company supplied lab coats, and gloves.· GMP gowning requirements: Hair net, beard guard (if applicable), shoe covers, and sweatbands as required.Working Conditions in the Office Setting: · Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment.· Factory Attire.Physical Demands: · Frequent lifting / carrying (10-50 lbs.).· Frequent pushing / pulling (50-300 lbs) and frequent bending and stooping.· Frequent handling / gripping (parts, tools, etc.).· Required to stand for long periods of time.Cover-All ClauseThe preceding essential functions, qualifications, and physical requirements have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
