Position : Regional Lead, Access Control, Gigafactory Nevada
Job Description : Role
The Access Control Lead is based out of Gigafactory Nevada (Sparks) and reports to the Regional Access Control Supervisor. You will be responsible for guiding, organizing, and evaluating the work of the site access control operations team. You will lead the day-to-day activities of your assigned team and ensure productivity is in alignment with standard policies and procedures. As the Lead, you have experience with document management and process improvement. Additionally, you are to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment positively and professionally.
Tesla’s facilities are a complex mix of manufacturing, service, warehouse and corporate facilities that provide a variety of access control and security related challenges. Tesla’s operations revolve around the customer experience from design to delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead the site access control operations team and guide team in meeting business needs and objectives
Facilitate the effective planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks and assignments of the team
Collaborate and support access control business partners within the region
Ensure compliance with existing processes, procedures, and standards of the Access Control Program
Coordinate and participate in the training of new access control hires
Assist in the development and revisions of training documentation and access control procedures
Assist with efficient and cost-effective staffing and scheduling
Identify issues and make recommendations to improve systems and processes
Action orientated, able to follow-up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes
Support initiatives to strengthen internal and external partnerships with all teams and third-party vendors
Thrive in a fast-paced environment to deliver world-class consistent, quality, and customer focused security products and services
Perform other duties and special project functions as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 2 year of experience working with Access Control Systems (ACS)
Minimum 1 year of experience of supervising or overseeing a team
Ability to effectively lead and motivate team members
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and effectively handle high stress situations
Dependable team player with professional maturity, enthusiasm, and a positive and proactive attitude
Be able to work additional time, weekends, and holidays as required by operations
