Position : Risk Management Coordinator
Job Description : The Role: The Risk Management Coordinator supports the Risk Management section in facilitation of organization-wide loss reduction. The coordinator identifies, measures, and analyzes risk issues, and creates recommendations for corrective or mitigation actions. This position will work closely with the organization’s insurance portfolio, investigate claims, collaborate with departments, maintain data, and provide high quality customer service. The Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for managing a wide variety of demands by prioritizing work assignments to meet departmental goals and objectives.
What You’ll Do: Keep in mind that this list in not all inclusive.
Assist with managing the LVCVA’s insurance portfolio, to include Property Insurance, General Liability, Auto Liability, Excess Liability Layers, Public Officials Liability, Workers Compensation, etc., which includes tracking and managing the completion of annual insurance renewal applications, claims management, addressing coverage questions, benchmarking with other government agencies, and issuing certificates of insurance.
Engage in the interactive process of liability claims. Complete investigations and fact-finding analysis to provide a final recommendation for management review and determination.
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the department including scheduling, responding to internal and external customers via phone and email, paying/submitting bills, maintaining office files, and creating business processes to maximize office efficiency.
Collaborate in the development and utilization of proactive risk management policies and procedures to prevent losses, ensuring they follow applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relations with other departments and organizations.
Promptly and professionally address and manage concerns from all stakeholders; escalate to management as necessary.
Responsible for data integrity. Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases to track and administer claims, policies, etc.
Draft and prepare various management reports, documentation and analysis.
Complete research projects as assigned.

What We’re Looking For*
Demonstrated experience in risk management coordination, specifically in liability insurance and/or claims
Robust skills in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating work activities in a customer service setting
Ability to manage several projects in parallel, with particular attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communications skills to communicate effectively with diverse groups of internal and external customers, i.e., management, other ambassadors, vendors, etc.
Possess strong interpersonal, problem-solving and customer service skills
Working knowledge of computers, specifically Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
