Position : SAFETY CASE MANAGER
Job Description : Eagle Quest is seeking several* part-time Safety Case Managers* to join our growing team! This position offers an opportunity for rewarding work with children and families in our community. Currently there is a need for evening shifts and weekend availability. This position also has the potential to lead to full-time employment.The Safety Case Manager works with families in their home, providing support, supervision, resources and referrals, parent training, advocacy, behavioral management, social connections, and other services as needed. This position provides services and works within the Safe@Home program at Eagle Quest, which is connected to the Department of Family Services.Overview of Job Duties
Participate in intake meetings with caseworkers and families
Responsible for implementing aspects of the Safety Plan
Review assessment(s), safety plan and other information related to the families.
Build rapport with the family.
Plan home visits, services, and sessions as outlined the safety plan.
Complete session notes in a timely manner.
Research resources as identified for the family. Assist the family in connecting with appropriate services/programs.
Maintain regular communication with Department of Family Services.
Administer appropriate outcome measurement forms and client surveys.
Discharge planning –work with the caseworker to determine timeline for discharge. Identify any needs for aftercare and review discharge plan with the family.
Attend and participate in trainings as well as agency, department, and team meetings.
Job Requirements
Background in social services which can include a degree in social work, psychology, human services, counseling, or another related field. Minimum requirement – AA degree.
At least one year of experience working with at-risk children, youth and/or families. Two or more years of experience is preferred.
Experience working with families from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Bilingual – preferred.
Need to be able to complete and pass a FBI background check and local background check .
Need to be able to pass a Child Abuse and Neglect (CANS) history check.
Nevada Driver’s License (and current auto insurance).
