Job Description : FUNCTION:
Provide excellent guest service; ensure the safety and protection of all Nugget Casino Resort, patrons, employees, property and assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Patrol (on foot) designated areas to prevent; theft, violence, infractions of company procedures or policies, gaming regulations and safety rules.
2. Collect and compile information to complete detailed incident reports, to include but not limited to theft, property damage, or other incidences affecting guests or employees.
3. Respond to all security calls. Operate communication equipment properly, safely and according to company policy and procedure.
4. Respond to alarms in a timely manner.
5. Transport company funds and confidential materials in a safe, secure, timely, and proper manner.
6. Perform guest identification checks to ensure proper age of guests playing or drinking at the Nugget Casino Resort
7. Provide assistance, directions, and answer questions as needed in a professional courteous manner.
8. Provide comfort and initiate medical response to ill or injured persons within company guidelines.
9. Exclude and /or Apprehend violators according to established guidelines.
10. Stay informed of the company’s safety and emergency action procedures.
11. Dispatch security personnel and or outside emergency services as required.
12. Complete all Security department paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
13. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state and federal regulations.
14. Communicate effectively with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
15. Regular predictable attendance is required.
16. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow employees and guests alike.
17. Immediately report unsafe conditions and employee or guest accidents to a supervisor or Security.
18. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget at all times when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourage others to do the same.
19. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Security Shift Supervisor/Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
One year of Security, law enforcement or military service preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
Ability to lift/, move, push, pull items up to 40 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment many include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Valid Nevada Drivers License, Clean 3 year DMV printout, Alcohol Awareness Certification, Employee Gaming Registration.
