The Security Supervisor is the first line supervisor for the security department. Provides protection for the resort, its guests, employees and visitors by planning, supervising, and directing the activities of the officers as directed by the Dept. Manager. Additionally, to be used as a trainer of newly hired security associates. Along with the Security Manager, the supervisor will work to ensure continuity of training for all newly hired personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS

Conducts physical inspections of all posts and patrols to evaluate subordinates for compliance with job requirements, to disseminate daily officer’s orders, and to assure that the resort entrances and restricted areas are properly protected. Provides OJT and other needed training to less skilled Security Officers – Conducts field training officer duties and evaluates and tests a probationary Security Officer’s performance.
Act as first responder to all guest and employee accidents and injuries on property. Administer first aid, contact emergency services if required. Secure First Report of Injury in the case of employee injuries; assist with the drug and alcohol testing of employees when appropriate.
Conducts preliminary investigations under the guidance of the Security Manager and prepares and reviews written reports involving reportable incidents that occur on the Resort grounds. Supervises and directs the quick response of Security Officers to perform Code One and other emergency procedures. When on duty, assists the Security Manager in the emergency management process.
Communicates new orders and directives to the shift during roll call/inspection formations. Recommends, through the supervisory chain, any needed improvements to make a shift more productive or cost effective.
Oversee the resort in a supervisory manner assisting all other departments when the have questions or need leadership. Ensuring that everyone is present and accounted for. This position will also provide back-up support for Shuttle Drivers. Shuttle Drivers are responsible for transporting our guests and owners throughout the property while creating customer delight in every interaction and exceeding expectations. Operate transportation shuttles to maintain specific.transportation routes throughout the property, as well as maintaining the safety of our guests and owners. Maintain the cleanliness of the shuttles and report any maintenance needs as required. Assist with luggage on and off the bus, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma with one year of college or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of resort or hotel experience or 3 years in security professions where customer service skills were required.
Must be able to produce written reports that clearly describe the facts and circumstances surrounding a reportable incident. Good oral communication skills that afford a clear articulation of information to the guests and resort employees.
Possess strong organization and leadership skills that provide an ability to make timely decisions under stressful conditions.
Have the initiative and drive to maintain the standards of performance set forth by the department, and the resort.
Possess a positive attitude and a professional mature demeanor.
Have a working knowledge of criminal justice system and the state criminal code.
Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license, and minimum of 4 years of driving experience.

** Sign on-bonus paid 50% at 90 days and 50% at 180 days**
