Position : Smokiez Edibles Packager
Job Description : The Edibles Packager is responsible for packaging edible cannabis products for distribution to dispensaries throughout Nevada. The Edibles Packager duties include but are not limited to:
Report directly to the Kitchen Manager and sometimes work with the Fulfillment team.
Assemble and package cannabis derived products.
Package cannabis products with care, maintaining the highest standards of quality and sanitation
Meet customer orders accurately
Know how to operate equipment safely (air compressor, scales, heat sealer). Be able to tare, set and read a scale
Prepare product for packaging, and package finished products
Verify labels conform to State of Nevada regulations
Verify labels do not have errors (grammar, spelling and numerical)
Adhere correct labels to containers accurately and in a consistent manner (no air bubbles and straight)
Keep work area and equipment clean throughout the workday
Be able to do repetitive tasks on a daily basis
Accurately count inventory
Lift 25 pounds without assistance
Meet or exceed daily production goals
Manages time efficiently in order to meet productivity goals while consistently producing quality work.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Work with Quality Assurance and Control & Fulfillment Specialist to ensure optimal production
Understand and abide by State of Nevada regulations that oversee the marijuana industry
Understand and abide by OSHA regulations that oversee safety in manufacturing
Understand and abide by the GB Sciences Employee Handbook
Understand the responsibilities of having a Nevada Marijuana Agent Card
Wear appropriate protective gear (hair net, gloves, face mask if necessary, foot coverings)
Follow health and hygiene protocols (SOPs)
Follow security protocols (SOP)

Dependable, punctual self-starter who holds him/herself accountable to quality, schedule, and daily production targets
Attention to detail with an eye for consistent quality
Proactively identifies ways to increase efficiency and daily output and minimize waste
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Skills and experience:
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Previous experience in a labor/general labor role strongly desired.
Familiarity with warehouse procedures.
Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a scale.
Ability to complete works in a timely manner and continually strive to increase productivity.
Ability to stand for long period of time and regularly life up to 25 lbs.
Ability to work with a team as well as independently.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and/ or holidays.
Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a background check.
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Probation Period: 60 days
Performance and Salary Reviews:
First review is after the 60-day Probation Period
Second review is 1 year after the first review
Third review and all subsequent reviews are annual
