PRIMARY PURPOSE:

It is the primary responsibility of the Player Communications Specialist is to drive qualified guest bookings to MGM Resorts. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Generates a minimum number of assigned quotas per day/month/qtr. to qualified guests in effort to drive guest bookings.
Converts a minimum number of contacted guests into bookings.
Stays abreast of active promotions, events, and entertainments at our resorts in order to effectively market our offerings.
Actively promotes our resorts and amenities in effort to drive bookings.
Delivers scripted pitches to potential guests and adjust accordingly to personalize for the individual.
Drafts guest correspondence as needed ensuring it is grammatically correct, formatted, and spell checked.
Ensures booked customers are appropriately accommodated (i.e. room type, transportation, incentives etc.).
Submits accurate booking details and requests to the designated resort (i.e. room type, view, credit card, event etc.).
Evaluates guest casino activity to determine complimentaries when necessary (i.e. room, food/beverage, and other).
Conducts pre-arrival and post-stay follow ups to ensure guest satisfaction.
Ensures guest accounts have all relevant information documented so that all touch points may provide excellent service.
Ensures confidentiality for all casino guest information.
Effectively maintains all tracking and coding documentation (i.e. CRM, contact update, manual log, etc.).
Ensures monthly coding requests are submitted on or before established due dates.
Resolves guest disputes and complaints.
Performs other job-related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year of continuous guest service experience

PREFERRED:

Associate Degree in marketing, Business Administration or related field
Two (2) years of relevant work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing
Experience working in a similar resort setting
Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language
MGM Resorts product knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies
Proficiency in relevant computer applications such as Patron, CRM, Opera, ICE etc.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Gaming registration

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
Ability to communicate effectively, concisely and logically in a timely manner and at an appropriate level
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of guest information
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Basic knowledge of computer software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with attention to detail
Ability to type 30 words per minute
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all guest contacts
Must have good learning skills to acquire the product knowledge to present products effectively and answer prospects’ questions accurately
Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
