Under direct supervision of the Manager and Supervisors, Clinical Claims Review, coordinates, supervise and is accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical/production team for the unit. This position requires flexibility to fill in where needed in the department as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:
Prepares assignments for RN and Medical Director staff
Prepares department productivity reports
Prepares regular work product reports
Prepares consultant assignments and processes invoices for work performed
Assists RN staff with preparation of Carve Out Worksheet and other documents
Monitors and Maintains specialty mailboxes for the department
Coordinates scheduling, preparation and minutes for Large Claim Committee and Pre-Large Claim Committee meetings
Monitors MAD “To Do” lists

Monitors MAD holding queues
Researches, prepares and presents special projects as needed by management
Maintains MAD Calendar
Participates in various special projects as assigned.

Attends assigned meetings relating to clinical reviews and other aspects of job function.
Performs all job functions with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality in compliance with federal, company & departmental confidentiality guidelines.
Performs job functions as they relate to state, federal laws and regulations applicable to the operating unit.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
Experience with managed care delivery system concepts such as HMO/PPO.

Experience with medical terminology, conditions, procedures and management.

Microsoft Excel (ability to sort, filter, create formulas, link worksheets)
Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years experience working in a medical or insurance company setting preferred.
1+ years experience in a lead or supervisory position preferred
Soft Skills:
Able to identify and resolve operational problems using defined processed, expertise and judgment.
Ability to learn and differentiate between company products and the benefits.
Able to quickly learn company-specific software to record information, analyze data, or communicate with others
Uses critical thinking and makes sound decisions.
Works well within a small team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills
