The Supervisor/Customer Solutions supervises and directs daily activities of the Customer Assistance Call Center, Credit & Collections and Billing departments. Also responsible for quality assurance, customer satisfaction and report functions.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires five to seven years of relevant work experience.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Conduct performance management, employee development coaching and counseling with employees
Provide technical and safety training for employees
Ensure adequate staffing levels; administer, monitor and approve work schedules and timekeeping
Conduct quality control checks
Develop and maintain employee relations/communications
Prepare written status reports
Ensure adherence to Company policies, procedure and tariffs
Monitor and maintain quality assurance and Company standards through data collection, reporting and analysis
Investigate, respond to and resolve elevated customer complaints
Respond to legal and Public Utilities Commission requests for final customer service resolution
Negotiate billings on malfunctioning meters with customers
Monitor collections and billing to recommend action on delinquent and adjusted accounts
Ensure reporting requirements are met in a timely manner
Perform Duty Supervisor responsibilities after hours
Forecast operating budgets
Develop cost control procedures
Prepare departmental budgets
Control operating and capital expenses
Investigate billing discrepancies between Southwest Gas and large industrial or power plant customers
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
Salary Details
$58,357 – $72,945
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) under Title 49 CFR Part 382 and Part 40. Any applicant/employee who performs a DOT covered function or is licensed and would operate a commercial vehicle for the Company will be subject to drug and alcohol testing under the Company’s DOT drug and alcohol testing programs. Any employment, transfer, or promotion offer made for this position is contingent upon taking and passing a drug test prior to the commencement of the new role. If an applicant/employee fails the drug test, any offer of employment, transfer, or promotion will be revoked.
