Position : Truck Dispatcher
Job Description : We are looking for a reliable dispatcher to act as a point of communication for carriers hauling our products and securing backhauls. You must be able to multi-task as well as take appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different stakeholders to communicate well by ensuring the accuracy and timely transmission of information.
Maintains high compliance to dispatch standard operating procedures
Ability to organize
Has time management skills
Possess good phone and computer skills
Assist drivers with routing details
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Follow up on PODs
Handles customer concerns and requests for information in a professional manner
Communicate with customers for necessary appointment information, ETAs, delivery confirmations, and general status of loads
Monitor and trace daily shipments
Secure backhauls and negotiate rates
Enter load details and tracking data into company’s software
Previous dispatch experience preferred but not required
Has professional acumen
GED or College Degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
