Lyon County Utilities is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Wastewater Systems Technician I or II located in Dayton, Nevada. This entry level position performs a variety of skilled technical duties and semi-skilled labor in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the County’s wastewater collection, treatment and reuse systems.
Requirements:

Basic understanding or experience related to the operation or maintenance of equipment associated with a wastewater system.
Must be available to be in the standby rotation for after hour’s emergency calls and have a 30 minute of less response time to Dayton Valley Road.
Must be able to obtain a Nevada Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade 1 certification within 12 months of employment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and obtain a NV Class A driver’s license within 12 months of employment.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.

T1 Salary Range*:

$23.0409 – $34.5614 (Employee/Employer Paid Retirement)
$19.9295 – $29.8943 (Employer Paid Retirement)

T2 Salary Range*:

$25.1879- $37.8003 (Employee/Employer Paid Retirement)
$21.7866 – $32.6958 (Employer Paid Retirement)

*Employees is this classification typically start at the beginning of the salary range, with opportunities for salary advancement based on merit.
