Overview:
The proposed Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Anatomy Faculty position. The individual in this role will fulfill duties to further the mission of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and the College by participating in student education, student counseling, scholarly activities, and service. Faculty members are encouraged to conduct original research/scholarly activities and pursue extramural funding in their areas of interest. Faculty should also be involved in service to the Department and College.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Provides current and appropriate educational content for DO students
Prepares questions to assess student performance
Works effectively as a team member to enhance and improve curriculum
Provides effective, active support as a student advisor and mentor
Mentors students in the development of research questions and implementation of research projects
Serves on various committees within the College

Qualifications:
Education: Advanced degree (PhD, DO or MD) in Anatomy or an appropriate health-related science.

Experience: Preference is given to candidates with experience in teaching medical, allied health and/or graduate students. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in an osteopathic medical program, including experience in dissection-based, human gross anatomy labs

Demonstration of effective performance in research (e.g. poster presentations, abstracts, invited presentations, successful extramural funding, published articles)

Must be:

US citizen or have a permanent residency
An exceptional listener with excellent written and oral communication skills
Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
Innovative, resourceful, detailed oriented, with excellent follow through skills

Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine is in the accreditation process with the Commission of Osteopathic College Accreditation and has admitted our first class of 90 students in August of 2021 and our second class of 135 students will begin in August 2022. The College is located in Provo, in the beautiful Utah Valley, surrounded by the Wasatch mountain range and Utah Lake. Our campus is in development for completion in 2021.
