Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a part-time Casual Technical Professional to join our Design and Analysis team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be a remote work position based out of Clearfield, UT.
Our Design and Analysis team works with experienced engineers, supporting sophisticated design of composite aerospace structures. We engineer the latest composite structures for military/commercial aircraft and launch structures, and are leaders in next-generation structure development. Responsibilities:

Coordinate efforts between analysis modeling team and material testing team
Work with Program Management to coordinate budgets and to review task progress
Work with functional management to determine program staffing needs
Apply sound mechanical engineering judgement and techniques to enable team to produce high quality analysis
Support other functions throughout the analysis and material testing process

Our team enjoys a significantly diverse range of assignments, and collaborates with many Northrop Grumman teams to provide innovative solutions to complex and exciting problems. We are part of the composites technology development organization and work closely with research & development engineers, engineering technicians, structure design and analysis engineers, and process engineers to provide state-of-the-art solutions to the most engaging problems.
Schedule is part-time with less than 20 hours per week. Travel is not required. This position is Non-Exempt, on-call, and benefits are not available.
Basic Qualifications:
Consulting Level

Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 20+ years engineering work experience, or Masters with 18+ years in a STEM field, or PhD with 15+ years in a STEM field
Experience in project management or project engineering for aerospace composite structures and assemblies

Salary Range: $72 USD – $108 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
