A Day in The Life of The Cloud Operations Architect

You will provide experience in Building Out and Managing Production Infrastructure for Cloud-Native Products that will be hosted on Microsoft Azure
You will have technical breadth and depth in building out and managing Operations Infrastructure coupled with strong interpersonal skills

In this role you’ll:

Design and Implement Operational Infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure Platform for cloud-native products developed by the Engineering Team.
Participate as a technical expert providing solutions to operations problems.
Implement techniques for keeping systems available by designing automated repeatable, and reliable solutions.
Run and maintain the production infrastructure hosted on Azure.
Capacity analysis and planning, traffic routing, and security policies
Provide leadership and guidance to a Team of Site Reliability Engineers
Develop and implement Change Control Policies.
This will be an on-call position

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Relevant Work Experience:
8+ years in the capacity of Operations/DevOps.
3+ years of Operational Experience Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Strong knowledge of the DevOps & Automation practice. Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes) preferred.
Experience in scripting: e.g. Powershell, Bash, Python, Terraform.
Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux-based environments.
Experience in IP networking, including familiarity with the functionality, operating, and failure modes of networks.
Proven technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience.
Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment
Experience in managing an Operations or DevOps Team.
Passionate about collaborating with engineering teams to drive innovative products
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Skills:
Computing: Cloud-based computing
Languages: C#, Powershell, SQL, Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps
Specific Knowledge: Azure Infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker
