In this position, you will develop content for and collaborate on the design of visually engaging and informative dissemination, communication, and branding resources. You will craft tailored materials and communication strategies to meaningfully engage clients and promote the use of research and evidence to inform education improvement. As a manager, you will supervise staff and manage the day-to-day work of company communications.Summary of Essential Job FunctionsCreate, manage, and execute a communications plan to advance the company’s strategic direction and maximize the company’s visibility and impactCollaborate with team members and clients to develop and carry out strategic outreach plans to achieve intended project outcomes and promote resourcesDevelop and execute company and project-specific social media strategies, including creating, managing, and posting contentDevelop content for and collaborate on the design of print and digital materials that include infographics, videos, blog posts, online newsletters, and websitesCollaborate with researchers, education specialists, and designers to communicate complex research and technical information in ways that are understandable, easily accessible, and useful for informing and improving education policy and practiceCoordinate and ensure quality of work with external vendors such as videographers, transcribers, and editorsIdentify, collect, and analyze metrics from communications campaigns and provide actionable recommendations for improving content and engagementProvide quality assurance reviews of print and digital materialsMaintain brand integrity across all company initiatives and communicationsWork with team members to support business development effortsSupervise and provide feedback to staff to help them meet personal and organizational goalsMinimum Qualifications and Related ExperienceBachelor’s degree in communications or related fieldMinimum of four years of communications and dissemination experienceCreating and carrying out strategic communication and dissemination plansContributing to and directing the production of a wide range of creative content and dissemination products such as graphic summaries of research, infographics, newsletters, and website contentTranslating technical information into clear and useful messagesCollaborating with others to design and produce visually engaging print and digital materialsKnowledge and SkillsUnderstanding of current events and issues in the field of educationUnderstanding of current trends in digital and social media, website management, and graphic design and tools for managing these functionsAbility to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines, addressing changing priorities, producing high-quality products, and staying within budgetAbility to communicate with diverse professional staff, clients, and other stakeholdersPreferred ExperienceSupervising communications staffApplying federal plain language guidelinesEnsuring 508 compliance for documents, websites, and other communicationsCommunicating to education audiences, including practitioners and policymakersTravel and Other Key RequirementsPeriodic travel may be required.As a condition of employment, Marzano Research requires all new hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or receive a legally required exception under applicable law.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
