Position : Connections Coordinator
Job Description : Connections Coordinator Position Description:
The Connections Coordinator will assume responsibility for deepening connections between current members, connecting new members to the various aspects of CVUU, and connecting Cache Valley Unitarian Universalist Church to the wider community. Training and managing volunteers will also be part of the job.
Sunday morning attendance will be required. The other in person activities are flexible and some of the work can also be done from home.
10 hours/week
Further details:
Attendance Sunday morning with tasks that include:
Opening the building and welcoming members and visitors
Assisting the worship associate during service as requested
Coordinating one entire service a month
Facilitate connection opportunities and spiritual enrichment by coordinating religious exploration classes (materials provided) and fellowship opportunities.
Train and coordinate volunteers to take over above tasks
Work closely with the Organizational Coordinator to:
Keep records up to date
Discuss programming as it relates to Unitarian Universalist Values
Review plans for connection opportunities within and outside of CVUU
Promote programs and other engagement opportunities in the newsletter, on social media and on the website
Attend monthly meetings with the Board, Worship Team, and staff
Create video advertisements for use on social media and the website
Required Qualifications
Outgoing, friendly personality
Extremely organized
Good at delegating tasks gently and with enthusiasm
Prior experience (professional or personal) being in an organizational role
Comfort making phone calls to individuals you may not know well
Responsive communication via email, phone, and in person
Basic computer skills, including understanding of, or willingness to learn, Google / Docs
Ability to record and edit video advertisements
Personal commitment to the 7 UU Principles
Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations
Desired Qualifications
Although familiarity with CVUU would be a plus, it is not required.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 per hour
