Position:
The Construction Safety Advisor is a support position within the Compliance and Safety Department, reporting to the Safety Manager. This position supports the operation of project-specific compliance and safety for power line and substation construction.
This position will require full-time travel. Your first assignment will be the construction of 100+ miles of transmission powerline in Northeastern Utah.
Major Areas of Responsibility:

Assist Safety Manager
Perform on-site Employee Safety Orientation
Perform safety observations sheet per crew each day while on project
Perform weekly safety audits
Build professional relationships with crew members and client project personnel
Assist safety department with required record keeping
Manage onsite Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE)
Assist safety department with the incident investigation process
Attend and contribute to on-site project meetings
Perform weekly safety training
Promote the safety and health of the workforce.
Monitor site operations for unsafe work practices.

Education and Experience:

High school graduate and/or GED equivalent
0 – 2 years related experience (ideally within power line construction)
OSHA 30 hr Construction certification and/or related safety certification, preferred
Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with web-based tracking software.
