Position : Delivery Driver

Job Description : We are currently hiring a driver (CDL- Class B is preferred but not required) to join our team. We are needing weekday day shift drivers for local runs. Competitive pay and home every night. Successful applicants must have the ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely in all environments.
General Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Occasionally loads, unloads, stacks, and secures freight in a manner to prevent injury, damage or shifting while maximizing space
Maintain electronic logs of working hours, following state and federal DOT regulations
Ensures that electronic bills of lading are filled out properly and freight is labeled and marked correctly
Inspect and counts freight, notating proper overages, shortages and /or damages
May perform other duties as necessary / subject to change as needed

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

Class B CDL is preferred but not required with extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
Must be able to pass a drug test and DOT physical with at least a 12-month medical card
Proven work experience as a truck driver
Must be legally authorized to work in the US
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Customer service experience helpful
