Friends4Life (F4L) is looking for responsible, caring, and compassionate direct support professionals to join our growing team! This job posting is for anyone interested in working in American Fork, Utah and the surrounding area. Haven’t heard of us? We are a relatively new provider offering services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions and very open to adjusting shifts to meet your scheduling needs! The different kinds of sites we are hiring for include:
Day Program (DSG): With day program sites located in American Fork & Sandy, our facilities are used to help our clients have access to friends and community activities each and every day. In this setting, you will work with several other staff to help support the group of clients at the day program! Some of the activities we plan for include bowling, going to the movie theater, swimming, getting ice cream, and much more! If that hasn’t convinced you yet, just know that you will also be able to get all weekends and holidays off. Guaranteed!
Shifts are generally Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am to 3 pm (plus any additional transport time)
One-on-One (SNL): _ Clients in our SNL program are fairly independent and can do most things themselves. While working together to accomplish specific goals, as well as planning fun outings, this post offers you the opportunity to truly develop a one-of-a-kind relationship with the client you’re paired up with. Activities are determined by you and your client, giving you ultimate freedom. On top of your normal wage, activity and gas reimbursement is included!_

Minimum Requirements
Valid driver’s license and insurance
Clean driving record
CPR certification
Because of the population we serve, the ability to pass a criminal background check
Ability to move and stand for prolonged periods and frequently perform physically demanding tasks
*How You Will Help*No matter which shift is filled, the ideal job candidate will be highly dependable and have a passion for helping those with physical and/or mental disabilities. Working with each of our clients, you will help foster a positive, encouraging, and stimulating environment, while also fulfilling the following:
Assisting clients to reach their desired goals
Engaging clients in fun and fulfilling activities at home and in the community
Aiding clients with daily needs, including but not limited to, nutrition, hygiene, exercise, communication, socialization, etc
Supervising clients as they self-administer medication
Documenting client progress
Transporting clients in personal and company vehicles
Following all health and safety protocols required by Friends4Life and the state of Utah
Assisting our clients with keeping a tidy, clean and safe environment
Supporting and upholding client legal rights by observing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
