Western Technologies is looking for a motivated individual to fill an open, full-time Dispatcher/Laboratory Technician position in our Salt Lake City office.
Job DutiesCoordinate, schedule, and dispatch technicians to perform testing and inspections of soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc. throughout the Wasatch Front
Assist project management, coordinate department resources, and interact with customersTest and inspect construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry and hot mix asphalt in our laboratory
Prepare daily reports on observation and testing activities and review reports and test results for data and accuracy

Job RequirementsPrevious administrative and/or construction-related experience is preferredThis position requires multitasking, use of phone, email and text communication with clients, contractors, project managers and technicians and others as applicable regarding the services to be provided.
Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player
Strong organizational and planning skills
Professional attitudeCapable of working independentlyExcellent oral skillsBasic math and writing skillsProficient with Excel, Outlook, MS Word, Office, Google MapsAbility to lift 30 to 50 pounds, occasionallyValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a drug screen
