L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Weekend Engineering Technician to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility.

Position Overview:
This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing test and debug operations on a variety of LRU (Line Replaceable Units), circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and components.This role will report directly to the Weekend Manufacturing Supervisor and is responsible for successfully testing and debugging L3 products for delivery or repair. Works with close supervision on routine tasks. Detailed instructions are provided and close peer review is required. Communicates with contacts typically within the team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. Work consists of tasks that are routine. Work is structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Follows established processes to complete tasks. Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform electronic testing, both manual and automated, in a production environmentPerform electrical troubleshooting and fault isolation in a production environmentAssist Test Engineering on trends, root causes and corrective actionsOperates related test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc)Participate in process improvement activities in both test and manufacturingAdherence to L3Harris policies and procedures, including but not limited to, calibration of equipment, ESD (electrostatic discharge), FOD (foreign object debris/damage) and general housekeeping.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent0-3 years of prior related experienceBasic electronic knowledge of RF and digitals signalsBasic understanding of basic Analog, Digital and RF circuitryComfortable using PC based applications
Comfortable using test equipment (RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, voltage meters and oscilloscopes)Must be able to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
+2 years experience preferred in RF and digital signals+2 years of experience with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power metersActive Department of Defense Security Clearance
