Job Description : APG is looking for its next development enthusiast to join our team as a mid-level Front End Software Developer. The position comes with the ability to work remote from your home (if you live in Utah) with occasional travel to our offices in Salt Lake City, UT.
Pay Range: $85,000-95,000/year (based on experience)
The Front End Software Developer is responsible for designing and implementing solutions for our B2B and B2C eCommerce sites. Front End developers build “client-side” web applications and understand the value of customer. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and attention to detail are key attributes necessary for success in this role. This position reports up to the Chief Information Officer.
Where you’ll spend your time:

Developing new features requested by internal business units and the engineering team
Translation of UI/UX wireframes/designs to code
Write well architected and testable code
Improve existing codebase by the migration of PHP to Javascript
Develop functional and performant web applications based on requirements
Optimize the use of graphic standards and branding identity of existing sites
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Ensure the use of best practices across projects
Collaborate in the creation of new architectures to improve usability of the platform
Effectively collaborate with Developers, QA, Operations and Stakeholders
Staying up to date on emerging technologies.

You have/are:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
2-4+ years of web development experience
2-4+ years of experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
2-4+ years of experience with the modern JavaScript frameworks [React.js | Vue | Svelte]
Experience with SPA state management [Redux, mobx, etc]
Experience with responsive and progressive web applications [AMP is a plus]
Experience with RESTful Web Services, API’s, GraphQL and asynchronous data flow
Experience with databases such as MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
Experience with testing, debugging, profiling
Cross browser development displaying web applications consistently
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, priority changing environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with UI/UX designs, back-end developers, and clients to formulate requirements
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as meet deadlines and work extended hours when necessary
Familiarity with SEO best practices and technologies
