Position : Housing Specialist

Job Description : Summary of Role:
The Housing Specialist works with Housing Program staff to provide administrative support to clients in need of housing. This role provides services such as document creation, waitlist management, client follow ups, appointment scheduling, payment delivery, assessment completion, and other other administrative duties as needed. This position can work from home with flexibility to come on-site as needed and travel for payment deliveries.
What you’ll do:

Process the housing waitlist to ensure client follow ups are conducted within the approved timeline.
Determine client eligibility for housing services.
Complete housing assessments for clients who qualify for our housing program.
Deliver checks throughout Davis, Weber, and Salt Lake counties to ensure prompt payment of services approved for survivors.
Provide supports to housing program staff as needed.

What we’re looking for:

You have excellent computer skills and can communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
You have an eye for detail and accuracy.
You are able to handle difficult situations with professionalism and compassion.
You can relate positively to persons who are diverse in age, ethnicity, socioeconomic levels, beliefs, and lifestyles.
You have a valid drivers license and are able to pass a background investigation check.
