Position : HR Generalist

Job Description : Job Responsibilities:

Create onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Onboarding for all new employees in the organization through Human Resources Information System.
Employee profile and file management for all electronic files within payroll and Human Resources Information System.
Attracting, recruiting, and hiring talent for the organization through external and internal sources.
Recruiting talent through cold calling, text messaging, email, and other communication methods.
Creating and updating job postings for all positions within the company on external and internal job boards.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education and files related to Department of Transportation and other Safety sensitive positions.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Conducts and manages weekly meetings with hiring managers and other senior leadership team members for cohesion and updates.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an office setting or business operations field.
1-2 years of human resources experience preferred.
SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
