SALARY: $80,928 (unaffiliated)
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Executive Director, SISS and Building Principal

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree and experience in a school setting.
Demonstrate collaboration and consultation skills with parents, administrators and instructional staff.
Experience working with behavior intervention.
Proof of COVID vaccination required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide academic and behavior support, prevention, and intervention programs for students on caseload
Connect with tutoring programs
Provide attendance follow-up with social workers, counselors and administrators for students on caseload
Building supervision of students on caseload during passing time, lunch time and after school
Attend weekly administrative meetings
Attend Achievement Team meetings with counselors, social workers, psychologists, special education department and administrators
Provide conflict resolution interventions with students on caseload as needed
Attend meetings with staff to create intervention strategies for caseload students and support teachers with development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and communicating this with teachers and parents
Develop Functional Behavior Analysis (FBAs) for students on caseload
Model interventions and strategies for staff
Convene parent meetings for caseload student(s) having attendance/behavior difficulty
Data Preparation and Communication:
Maintain weekly attendance data to support appropriate interventions for students on caseload
Maintain weekly logs of student contacts, parent contacts and interventions used for students on caseload
Prepare weekly reports, provide summaries for students on caseload and submit to the principal
Conduct home visits to students on caseload
Connect with community resources
Assist in transitions of 8th graders into high school for students on caseload
Attend school and district meetings and professional development
Support parents in school and out of school activities for students on caseload
Must understand community and out of school relationships and have experience doing this
Attend after school events to support students on caseload
Assist in preplanning and structuring support for students on caseload to navigate activities during breaks. Must also help with transitioning students on caseload after breaks.
Other duties as assigned
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Communicate effectively and present information both in oral and in written form

REASONING ABILITY:
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Interpret an extensive variety of statistical information and data related to student achievement.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Interact with public and other staff as required.
Apply knowledge of current replicated research and techniques related to sensory issues.
