THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Linux Administrator

Responsible for configuring and administering X86 Linux servers and their respective applications and services.
Responsible for the ongoing health, security, and stability of these systems, focusing on vulnerability and secure configuration management.
Leverage orchestration and automation tools to perform complex and repetitive tasks at scale.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues on Linux systems and will assisting in building and maintaining monitoring systems for various Linux servers.
Collaborate with Cyber Security and the Security Operations teams to ensure all systems are fully patched, securely configured, and compliant with industry standards and corporate configuration baselines.
Day-to-day administration and support of Linux systems and Linux based applications in production and test networks with a focus on stability and uptime.
Promote new code and builds through the credit unions ecosystem using standards of testing and elevation.
Coordination within the team, department, division, and credit union overall.
Assists with other IT functions.
Effective backups are being made and tested.
Stays informed of changes in computer technology.
Keeps work area clean, secure, and well-maintained.
Completes special projects as assigned.

BACKGROUND: Linux Administrator

2 years’ experience managing Linux servers in a production environment.
Experience managing a Network Load Balancer in a production environment.
Experience with bash and python to automate and manage server tasks.
LPIC-1: Linux Administrator or CompTIA Linux preferred
Computer Science or Information Technology degree preferred.
