Job Description : DFS Gourmet Specialties (Chef Shamy & Better Butter) in Salt Lake City, UT is currently hiring for a full-time Maintenance Mechanical Technician to ensure equipment reliability by repairing and maintaining a wide range of processing equipment across the facility. This Maintenance Mechanical Technician position earns a competitive and negotiable wage of $22.70 per hour, based on experience.

DAY-TO-DAY
This full-time, Mechanical Technician works 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with additional overtime on the weekends as needed.
In this equipment maintenance position, you ensure food-safety requirements are met by following all company, OSHA, and government procedures. You effectively support the preventative maintenance program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime. You also troubleshoot, diagnose, and develop sustainable solutions for issues with PLC controlled equipment, plant electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic and mechanical systems including motors, instrumentation, distribution, and feed control systems. Throughout the day, as you complete your assigned work, you record work orders and detailed logs. You are also sure to maintain current inventory and identify any required parts we may need. As needed, you assist with equipment changeovers and line start-ups. Thanks to you, our machines are always operating in their best shape, and our food always meets safety guidelines!

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINTENANCE MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Basic computer skills
3 years of experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment in an automated facility
Experience with compressed air systems, water heaters, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Basic refrigeration knowledge
Able to troubleshoot PLC’s, VFD’s and HMI’s
Able to lift 50 lbs
An associate degree, technical school certification, or training in basic electricity
Willing to work in Salt Lake City, Utah
