Job Description : 1.0 Position Description:
Manufacturing support position with responsibilities focused upon the validation and
acceptance of product and processes. A quality coordinator may be assigned some or all of the
duties outlined in section two. The coordinator position at a particular facility may require up
to 30% travel, when required this will be discussed at the time of hire / promotion.
2.0 Position Responsibilities:
2.1 Monitor performance, train and support shift quality auditors / lead operators with regard to
the quality function of their job. Support supervisors in performance reviews of auditors /
leads. Train quality auditors and complete Doc. 0266, Q.A. Training Checklist.
2.2 Maintain, monitor daily and report on the non-conforming system, including transfers of
materials in / out of NCR / QC Hold. Assist shift supervisors in managing the hold area to
assure quick turnaround time. Responsible to monitor and report on and maintain actual vs
system inventory in NCR / QCHold.
2.3 Issue, train, monitor performance and report on all containment activities in the plant.
2.4 Issue and maintain Quality Alerts per procedures.
2.5 Issue, follow up and complete MRR process for all supplier issues. Maintain MRR log and all
transfer paperwork per procedures.
2.6 Review, update records, monitor and coordinate implementation with scheduling, auditors and
leads of all ECN’s, and deviations to assure products are correctly identified to the appropriate
Eng level.
2.7 Review, issue corrective actions and follow up on all product and process audit reports from
auditors / leads. Conduct and report on layered audits per schedule.
2.8 Monitor performance and maintain consistency of the Quality standards, SPC and quality
training across all shifts, monitor and work with QE’s to assure boundary samples and control
plans and SPC charts are available to manufacturing associates.
2.9 Assist with capability studies, testing and gage studies as needed.
2.10 For customer and internal concerns, assure suspect product is ncr’d , contained, and certified.
assist Quality Engineers with customer concern follow when needed.
2.11 Conduct regular off site reviews at platers facilities of defective or suspect plated products.
Determine responsibility and complete reconciliation process, including;
paperwork, rework, scatter diagrams and reports. Communicate findings and
participate in problem solving and training activities relative to plated products. This assignment may require up to 30% travel and a good driving record.
2.12 Plan, coordinate, perform and report on thermal cycle testing for all plated grilles on an
ongoing basis per schedule. Perform pre-production thermal shock testing on all new grilles.
2.13 Plan, perform, track and report on melt flow of incoming resin lots for all materials as
determined by the QA manager and / or control plans.
2.14 Plan, perform, track and report on destructive and non-destructed paint testing on a daily basis
per control plans, including monitoring of on-line paint test results and training of shift
associates on proper testing techniques.
2.15 Establish procedures, train associates, monitor and report on moisture analysis results for all
resins per procedures and control plans.
2.16 Plan, perform, track and report on tensile & bond strength testing for welded or glued or other
bond joints per the control plans.
2.17 Plan, coordinate and track annual required testing with outside labs per customer
requirements.
2.18 Perform and report on capability studies on tests as directed by Quality engineering and
approved by quality management.
2.19 Plan, coordinate, perform or coordinate and report on all other required offline periodic tests
as defined in the control plans and not listed specifically herein.
2.20 Maintain the latest customer and third party procedures and test methods. Develop internal
procedures and train shift associates as required.
2.21 Monitor testing required at all facilities and report any issues to quality management.
2.22 Complete and report on internal testing requested from quality engineers or advanced
engineering as approved by QA management.
2.23 Initiate and follow up on corrective action requests resulting from test issues as requested.
2.24 Maintain appropriate levels of quality related supplies.
2.25 Other duties as assigned by management.
2.26 In addition to items outlined above, a Senior Quality Coordinator may perform some of the
duties of a quality engineer including issuing customer concerns, developing corrective
actions and performing TS audits as an internal auditor or internal lead auditor.
3.0 Qualification Requirements:

Educational Requirements:
High school diploma of general education degree (GED);
Minimum of 3 years QA experience which includes testing, working knowledge of SPC. Familiarity with any of the Job functions a plus.
Computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint is a plus.
Language Skills Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, a system documentation and customer technical specifications as they relate to quality.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general associate.
Mathematical Skills Requirements
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to understand and apply basic concepts of variation and statistics.
Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and work with multiple abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift the companies’ products in and out of test chambers.
Training Requirements
Completion of supporting training requirements matrix.
Travel Requirements
Certain facilities may require up to 30% travel and a good driving record for this position. If required, this will be discussed with the candidate at the time of hire/promotion.
