Job Description : TITLE: Security Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Security
DEPARTMENT: Security
GENERAL PURPOSE: To assist in promoting and providing a memorable guest experience and safe team member experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Implement the safety, security, and emergency plans and programs for the hotel and peripheries through the supervision of the security staff and training of the hotel staff. Coordination of activities and investigations with outside agencies. Ensure a safe and secure experience for the hotel quests and staff. Protect hotel assets and minimize liabilities and losses

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Include the following, but are not limited to)

Provide excellent customer service when dealing with guests

Investigates and reports on incidents and accidents

Coordinate with local and Federal law enforcement agencies

Ensure a safe environment for guests and staff

Schedule and counsel security staff

Attract, motivate, empower, and retain employees

Provide open communication, through coaching sessions

Discipline, resolve problems, and terminate if necessary

Protect hotel property, guests, and staff

Monitor fire alarm systems and CCTV monitors

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Thorough knowledge of security practices and procedures

Knowledge of hotel policy and ability to act on the guidelines

Supervisory and management experience

Effective communication skills

Ability to work in all areas of hotel operations

Familiar with the Utah Criminal Code and Salt Lake City ordinances

Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing

Knowledge of interview and interrogation procedures

Physical ability to perform all security assignments

Current certification of First aid and CPR

Open and flexible schedule

Education / Formal Training
An Associates or Bachelor Degree or equivalent related experience

Experience
Minimum of two years in security operations or related field
Minimum of two years managerial or supervisory experience

Hours: Full Time 40-50 hours per week
Schedule: Various Days and Shifts
Wage: $25-$27 hourly
