Job Description : IONIQ Sciences (www.IONIQsciences.com) is modernizing early-stage cancer detection with truly non-invasive bioimpedance technology – no needles, no radiation and no surgery. IONIQ’s first planned product, the IONIQ ProLung Test for lung cancer, has already been designated a ‘Breakthrough Device’ by the US FDA. Our second planned product will be the IONIQ Breast Test. These two products are foundational to launching a Multi-Cancer Screen that could be used in hospitals, physician offices, pharmacies and/or at-home.
IONIQ Sciences is a mature start-up in the life sciences / medtech / biotech industry with a healthy dose of tech sprinkled into the mix. We are rapidly expanding as we approach commercialization of our first planned product and accelerating development of our follow-on product portfolio. We are located just west of downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

Statistician Scientist: Lead statistician for projects with various levels of complexity.
Provide data visualizations, analysis, and biostatistics related activities to understand and aid in development of next generation cancer diagnostic technologies. Effective analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to apply knowledge of statistical design, analysis, and programming techniques utilized in clinical research and to effectively communicate statistical concepts. Displays willingness to work with others and assist with projects and business unit initiatives as necessary to meet the needs of the business.
Statistical Design: Writes and reviews statistical analysis plans (SAPs). Collaborates in the process of protocol development by choosing an appropriate study design, including statistical methodologies, calculating necessary sample size to achieve a pre-specified power, and writing the statistical section of the protocol.
Statistical Analysis: Manages the analysis of all clinical data including data scrubbing, programming, analysis, algorithm development and database management.
Publications: Perform the statistical analysis and write articles for peer reviewed medical journals.
QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field. Preferred experience in clinical trials or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with human subject research, IRBs and regulatory submissions for medical device or diagnostic technologies and/or innovative medical or health devices. Experience with coding diagnostic models and performing data analysis. Experience with writing peer reviewed medical journal articles. Candidates with prior peer reviewed statistical publications is preferred. Experience with regulatory submissions preferred.

Pay: $64,988.00 – $139,369.00 per year
