Program

The NFL are pleased to launch a Paid Internship Program in line with our Inspire Change & Diversity Commitments. This unparalleled opportunity is focused on helping recent graduates gain work experience and insight into the sports industry.

As we strive to hire the right talent for the right roles at all levels and functions within the organization, our hope is to pro-actively diversify our talent pipeline.

We are offering a 12 month paid internship, based in our Toronto office. This full time paid role will support various groups across the business including but not limited to; Marketing and Fan Development and Corporate Partnerships. This will be an opportunity to explore all aspects of the business of professional football through challenging project assignments, mentoring relationships, and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will support the Canadian business in the following ways:
Partnership Management: day-to-day support on select accounts and on selected initiatives for those partners.
Partnership Management: Preparation for NFL Kickoff and other key tentpole events throughout the season – serving as a lead for internal communication of key assets and packages
Partnership Management: Lead the fulfillment of all merchandise requests, for partners, charitable organizations and all other requirements.
New Business: Custom pitches for prospective partners and active role in renewal of existing partnerships
Track and assist with NFL Canada’s institutional media inventory for key partners. This role works closely with our Marketing and Fan Development on partner media execution.
Work closely with Marketing and Fan Development team, in the execution of our season long campaigns, including creative approvals, performance management, tracking and external agency communications.
Work with agencies & key stakeholders to support content ideas, creative approval process for digital and social channels.
Support database marketing programs as required.
Education
Recently completed Undergraduate program (preferred, but not required)
Preferred Major and Coursework: Suggested but not limited to Business, Economics, Marketing, Sports Management, or Communications
OR 2-3 years of relevant work experience
Qualifications
Have a natural passion for the business of sport
Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and stakeholders, in a matrix organization
Strong team player and collaborator
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ideal Characteristics
Forward-thinking and able to suggest new ideas
Proactive with a creative mind
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Interest in working in professional sports
Strong time management and a positive work ethic
Comfortable to adapt to a different environment and work with multiple functions
