Accountant/Accounts Payable, FT, Hospital. Requires Bachelor’s Degree. Position will assist in both accounting and accounts payable for the district (Hospital, Hillcrest). Will process and post a variety of accounting transactions such as payments, invoices and expenses. Enter data in an accounting system as well as review and verify data. Analyze accounts to trace discrepancies or errors. Assist with month end close and monthly financial reports, Cost Report, annual audit and budget. Assist with accounting duties including but not limited to reconciliations, accounts receivable/accounts payable, journal entries, and special projects. Assist with payroll, payroll journal entries, HR accounting and special projects. Accounting background or one to two years related bookkeeping experience in a healthcare environment preferred. A successful candidate will be accurate, detail oriented, proficient on the computer, have a high concentration level and will display excellent communication and people skills. A candidate must be motivated and have a positive attitude, problem solving skills and the ability to work as a team. Must be physically able to sit for extended times, stoop, reach, stretch, and pull and lift charts and files. Requires good verifiable work history with references and a team player attitude.
