Accounts Receivable AnalystSalary range: $50k – $60K
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Generates and distributes invoices, both manual and through EDI system
Matches invoice, bill of lading, and customer purchase orders and verifies pricing and freight charges
Enters, post and applies lockbox cash receipts and electronic deposits
Matches remittance advice with invoice and files paid invoices
Creates and distributes credit memos
Researches and obtains back-up documentation for all payment discrepancies. Resolve issues within 15 days after payment received
Maintain AR Aging Report and ensure over 90 days payment is < 15%
Creates and distributes customer statements
Follows up with customers for weekly collections on accounts past due 7 days or greater
Resolve short paid items within 15 days after payment receipt
Update written procedures as necessary
Maintain customer information within ERP system
Maintain hardcopy files of paid closed AR
Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s)
Run D&B and credit checks on potential and existing customers and submit for review.
Bank reconciliations, experience with journal entries is a plus
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
3-5 years’ experience in all aspects of Accounts Receivable and general accounting
Intermediate level of computer skills is required with accounting software and Microsoft Excel experience.
Minnimum associate degree in accounting
Must be a team player.
PREFERRED
Prefer experience with MRP/ERP systems and system interfaces
University degree in accounting, business or finance
Strong attention to detail and the ability to focus is critical
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to sit for extended periods.
Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to stoop, kneel or bend.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
