Overview

The Airport is seeking a motivated individual for one (1) Full-time Operations Specialist position. The position performs various duties with established policies and procedures as directed by operational requirements.

Responsibilities
Assures continuous safety and security compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Parts 77 and 139, Transportation Security Regulation (TSR) Part 1542, in addition to all other applicable statutes, regulations, and requirements.
Respond to airport alerts, snow removal, periodic safety and quality control inspection of aviation fuel storage facility and fueling operations, safety and environmental compliance, emergency response, NOTAM management, wildlife management and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications – Ops Specialist I
Prefer a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Airport or Aviation/Aerospace Management, Aviation/Aerospace Science, Business or Public Administration, or closely related field combined with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in airport operations or administration, or in a position with direct aviation relevance.
Prior experience with a Fixed Base Operator (FBO), airline, air cargo carrier, airfield maintenance, and/or airport emergency services.
Private Pilot Certificate is desirable.
Qualify within one month of employment for ARFF Certification.
Must be able to pass criminal history background check and obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport and possess a valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications – Ops Specialist II
Graduation from an accredited college or university, with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and two (2) years’ experience in airport operations at a PART 139 airport or three (3) years of airport operations experience at a PART 139 airport offering specific and substantial preparation for the duties of the position.
Minimum two (2) years’ experience with snow removal equipment in runway environment, specifically broom and plow operations.
ARFF Certification and minimum two (2) years’ ARFF operations at a PART 139 airport. ACE Ops Certification and completion of FEMA IS (independent study) courses 100, 200, and 700.
Must be able to pass criminal history background check and obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport and possess a valid Driver’s License.

Work Schedule
Candidate must be available to work irregular schedules including early mornings, late nights, weekends.

Compensation
Ops I starting salary – $25.00 per hour, plus an excellent benefits package.
Ops II starting salary – $30.00 per hour, plus an excellent benefits package.
