DTC ALLOCATION MANAGER
As the Retail Allocation Manager, you will be part of our retail leadership, and you will collaborate with the Merchant, Planning, Store Operations, and DC teams to develop and implement strategies for retail stores in both full price and outlet concepts. You will build, develop, and manage a team of allocation analysts to ensure inventory levels, assortments, quantities and size are appropriate to achieve the company’s sales and profitability objectives. You’ll also create and manage ad hoc analysis and reporting used to analyze and grow our business, providing store level insights to your planning and buyer counterparts. We welcome talented collaborative individuals to our team; you will play a key role in managing your group’s tasks and activities. In addition, you will serve as the field teams’ point person in marrying the art and science of the customer experience, soliciting feedback and troubleshooting inventory concerns or inquiries.

How You Will Make a Difference:

Develop and manage merchandise allocation and replenishment strategies for our stores. You and your team will support merchandise financial plans, inventory turn objectives, regional variances and store attributes across concepts, merchandise categories and for multiple countries (US and CANADA).
Direct the activities of your allocation team, partnering with the buyers and planners to develop and execute consistent strategies. Provides actionable insights at the store level during weekly business reviews, capitalizing on opportunities to maximize business and troubleshoot inventory challenges.
Direct and manage the process for store ranking and attributing for the major season buys; assessing volume rank, capacities, and product eligibility for buy plan cluster designations. Manage store and store category inventory to appropriate levels, and initiate adjustments as needed to support sales and minimize unproductive excess.
Monitor stores and styles to ensure that all appropriate model levels are maintained, fulfilled, and adjusted as needed for key items, never out of stocks, and fashion.
Lead, develop, and motivate the allocation team. Train associates on all aspects of allocation and replenishment (process, models, ranks, systems, etc.), and ensure consistent application and use of best practices.
Own transfer strategies and processes between channels to maximize inventory across Ecomm, Full Price and Outlet
Develop and maintain necessary merchandise reporting for key components of sales, inventory, and turn relative to allocation of product. Update with new reporting as needed.
Evaluate and recommend enhancements to process, tools, and systems used to drive the allocation of product for the retail business.
Support Information Systems for allocation, collaborating with the IT team as necessary. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to systems and tools to drive accurate allocation.
Work closely with cross functional partners in Store Operations, Merchandising, and Planning to identify business opportunities and minimize risks.

Desired Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: Minimum 4+ years prior experience in Retail Allocation
Educational/Position Requirements:

Educational/Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience in allocation and replenishment processes in a multi-unit national chain (multi concept experience a plus)
In-depth knowledge of store allocation philosophies and methodology
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Excel experience) and possess aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
Aptitude to evaluate financial and business trends and translate information into action items
Succeeds in time management, effectively prioritizes short- and long-range projects.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

Some travel required as necessary.
Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 25 lbs, depending on need.

Salary Range: $108,000.00 USD – $162,000.00 USD annually

Annual Incentive Eligibility :
This position is eligible to participate in VF’s Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its’ Corporate and business level financial objectives.

Long Term Incentive Eligibility :
This position is not eligible for long term incentive.
