Job Description : Are you looking for a role that allows you to work independently, but also take part in a team environment? Are you able to maintain confidentiality, while demonstrating tact and initiative? If so, then join the Ministry of the Attorney General where you will work within the court system and liaise with a variety of stakeholders including employees, managers and judiciary.
Please Note: This position is part-time and will work 29 hours per week.

What can I expect to do in this role?
In this position, you will:
provide administrative support to the local management team including scheduling and coordinating meetingsreceive and prepare attendance and payroll, including reviewing for accuracy, and inputting into appropriate data baseassist with the processing of expense claims and invoices for paymentprovide customer service support by receiving/screening visitors and internal and external callsprovide information and assistance relating to a program and administrative servicesanalyze and compare statistics from a variety of sourcesprepare reports and presentations of analytical findings
How do I qualify?
Technical Knowledge and Experience:You have demonstrated administrative experience and knowledge of general office procedures and practices to perform a variety of functions including providing administrative and confidential support to the manager, preparing meeting minutes, maintaining files, reviewing, prioritize and distributing mail.You have knowledge of court systems and related administration.You have the ability to work within procedures and processes of court services.You have the ability to interpret and apply collective agreements.You have an understanding of payroll processing and procedures.You have the ability to verify and accurately enter employee attendance into a computer database.
Organizational Skills:You have strong organizational skills to manage and coordinate office services.You can schedule meetings and appointments.You have the ability to set priorities and to manage a variety of tasks in a high volume environment.You have the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision in order to accomplish a variety of administrative tasks.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:You demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills to research, assess and prioritize complex queries.You can resolve problems and advise manager of potentially critical issues.
Communication Skills:You demonstrate oral and written communication skills to work closely with senior management.You can deal with all levels of court officials, legal community staff and the public.You can compose draft correspondence to letters/inquiries.You are able to respond to inquiries both on the phone and in person.
Computer Skills:You demonstrate computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database software to prepare reports, correspondence, presentations, charts and tables.

W-AG-179024/2022 -Effective, January 1, 2022, the updated salary range for this position is $25.89 to $30.18 per hour/week in alignment with the recently ratified OPSEU Unified 2022-2024 collective agreement.
