About the team

After another year of exponential growth with more clients, more products and more opportunities we are looking to bolster our Compliance team with a Compliance Analyst.

This is an opportunity to join the Paysend of one of the fastest growing FinTech firms and help in revolutionising the way our clients use their money. We are looking for a Compliance Analyst who will be hands on in all aspects of Paysend’s expanding offering.

You will be proactive, hardworking, adaptable and capable of working autonomously as well as within a team. You will have knowledge of the regulatory landscape and preferably have experience in e-money and payment services.

You will report into the Head of Canada AML and Compliance.

This role requires the candidate to have a good working knowledge of AML, EFTR and STR reporting in the Canadian market and as such we are focusing our search in Canada only.

Key Responsibilities

Helping to maintain the AML and CTF Compliance Program and Risk Assessment, which includes regularly reviewing and updating these documents and maintaining a record of all updates.
Overseeing AML Compliance Effectiveness reviews and ensuring that the reviewer has sufficient knowledge of Canadian AML and CTF requirements and our business to conduct the review.
Maintaining complete and accurate records.
Maintaining up to date registration with FINTRAC.
Maintaining up to date licensing with the AMF.
Corresponding with FINTRAC and the AMF.
Assist with Paysend CA transaction monitoring daily, weekly and monthly – identifying key risks and suspicious activities
Assist with B2B due diligence and onboarding
Assist with various compliance efforts with a corporate strategy.

Skills/Competencies:

Experience in risk management
Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, or AML)
Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
Positive and flexible attitude to work particularly new initiatives
Diplomatic in meeting and working with people, good cultural awareness
Capable of developing and maintaining strong client relationships
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, highly organised
Ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise work

Technical/Functional:

In depth knowledge of Canadian AML/KYC rules and regulations
Good knowledge of ETFR’s and STR’s
Experience working and building a Compliance Management System
Knowledge and skills to assess policies and procedures
Canadian Payment Industry Knowledge
B2B experience an asset
