Job Description
What will you do?
Assist in daily valuations and analyze MTM movements by measuring the impact of new deals, amendments, cancellations as well as changes in yield curves, volatilities, convexity bias, rate reset and time decay where applicable
Assist with the PnL attribution process. Provide commentary and document large movements in P&L
Assist in the reporting of Daily, MTD and YTD results as required. Compare P&L Estimate vs. Actual results – investigate variances and escalate to the Senior Analyst as required
Ensure that all daily PnL submitted by the Senior Analysts are signed-off daily by the Front Office in a timely fashion. Escalate any issues to the Senior Analyst & reporting Manager
Assist in preparing reports to meet ad-hoc requests as necessary for business partners
Prepare and update all daily and monthly procedure manuals and documentation. Obtain a sign-off upon review by the Senior Analyst
Work closely with all members of the Product Finance team through cross-training. Assume additional responsibilities as they arise
Assist Senior Analysts in identifying opportunities to improve valuation and risk reports and pro-actively streamline processes to improve productivity
Assist in preparing client mark to market statements for interest rate derivative products on a daily and ad hoc basis
Understand and trouble shoot daily PNL and Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure figures are properly tied back to the systems of records, in the absence of the primary analyst
Develop a solid knowledge base of how various derivative products are handled by the various trading systems
Assist the Senior Analyst and Senior Manager with audit requests from both internal and external auditors
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
University Degree
Minimum one year of Capital Markets experience
Good understanding of derivatives products
Good analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision
Good understanding of procedures and operational controls as they relate to trading systems and workflows

Job Summary
As Analyst, Product Control you will support the extraction and consolidation of market data on a daily basis, which is used for the valuation of fixed income derivative products. The Analyst will provide analytical support to the Senior Analysts in Fixed Income derivatives Product Control by performing daily mark-to-market valuation & P&L reconciliation on an accurate and timely basis; as well as provide client statements and liaise with clients to discuss and explain the Mark-to-Market valuation movements on a daily basis.
