Position : Arts & Crafts Director
Job Description : Directs the arts and crafts co-curricular program; performs a combination of administrative and teaching responsibilities within this program and, by invitation based on preferred credentials, may have teaching responsibilities within the Art Department.
Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree plus a minimum of five years of related work experience in the art sector, to include a minimum of three years teaching and supervising staff; proficient with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with diverse constituents and people from different cultural backgrounds; excellent oral and written communication skills; good judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion; excellent organizational, administrative, and customer service skills; ability to think critically and solve problems; ability to work independently, take initiative, be self-directed and make good decisions as well as ability to be a collaborative team player and leader; budget management and analytical skills to include basic business math; ability to operate and maintain equipment within the studios ability to operate standard office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications: In order to be invited to teach within the art department, the hired candidate must have a Masters degree in the Arts, Education, or related field and candidates with this qualification will be given special consideration within the pool.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,578.00 – $65,691.00 per year
