Assistant Designer, Equipment & Accessories
As the Assistant Designer you will support the design team in every aspect of the product creation process. You will leverage your Adobe Illustrator skills in creating technical specifications and other design content.

The Ideal candidate will be eager to learn, have excellent time management and a be able to work independently to meet crucial deadlines. You will grow in your role and skills sets to assist in industry research, partner with materials to develop innovative fabrications, and contribute to creation of visual presentations. You will be an important contributor to the team, as well as having a great opportunity to learn from seasoned designers and developers how to create innovative and technologically advanced products.

How You Will Make a Difference
You will bring your passion for the industry to our design process with elevated attention to detail and technical skills in support of lead designers. Will work under the organization of territory-based Design Manager but will be organized under the day-to-day responsibilities set by lead design team. You will have the opportunity to grow and expand with knowledgeable creatives and learn the full design process from research, construction, techpack, trim development, and presentation preparation. You will be able to exercise your passion for sustainable design and be proactive about creating designs that reflect that.

Skills for Success
Years of Related Professional Experience 1-2 years of experience in a design related field. Must have positive work ethic to understand and execute against key deadlines.

Educational/Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Design (product, or apparel), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expertise in Adobe Illustrator

Skills

Excellent time management
Personal professionalism and accountability
Attention to detail and shows initiative
Proficient communications skills
Knowledge of industry trends and a strong personal aesthetic

Additional positive attributes

Working knowledge and understanding of equipment and accessories construction
Prior experience making tech packs a plus
3D modeling proficiency a plus
Production and manufacturing knowledge a plus

Salary Range: $56,160.00 USD – $84,240.00 USD annually

Annual Incentive Eligibility :
This position is eligible to participate in VF’s Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its’ Corporate and business level financial objectives.

Long Term Incentive Eligibility :
This position is not eligible for long term incentive.
