We are seeking an Associate IS Project Manager to:
Manage projects from start to finish, in the areas of information technology, quality improvement, strategic objectives and goals
Manage all aspects of projects with direct accountability to the Executive Sponsor
Be responsible for implementation of projects and programs assigned to the team in a manner that achieves the strategic goals of Providence
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Strategic:
Proactively identifies and participates in the organization’s strategic plans and objectives.
Supports and at times, drives activities to influence decisions in order to ensure work towards project objectives, including scope, schedule, budget, vendor, and change management.
Develops process maps and recommends process improvements to support increased Project Management efficiencies
Management:
Manages small to medium complexity projects or supports PM on large complex projects.
Responsible for managing projects to ensure that the project deliverables are complete.
Responsible for developing a partnership with the project owner as well as assisting the customer with developing a project charter, budget, scope, and schedule. Is accountable for managing customer expectations across teams.
Responsible for facilitating communication to internal and external customers.
Operational:
Provides project status reporting. Facilitates regular reporting by conducting status meetings or other means as appropriate. Maintains own project files, both electronic and on paper.
Works independently and manages time effectively. Makes informed decisions about where to invest efforts based on established priorities.
Performs assigned individual project tasks or modules and contributes to the completion of team tasks accurately and timely.
Handles all project information in a confidential manner.
Provides project information in a timely manner to project sponsors, stakeholders and process owners.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, Healthcare Administration or clinical field -OR- a combination of equivalent education/experience
2 years of experience:
Project Management, Healthcare, Information Services, or other relevant industry or operations
Demonstrated ability to create and successfully execute strategic plans for a variety of issues; healthcare information services operations and support
Standardizing complex and disparate processes; methodologies related to application management such as system deployment, support, and life cycle
Process improvement methodology, change management, operational improvement in complex systems
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training in Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or working towards
