Job Overview

Functions as lead and acts as unit supervisor when supervisor is absent. Assists PFS Unit supervisor with: ERA and EDI enrollments, coordination and credentialling efforts/requests, , clinic insurance enrollments, Clearinghouse and other Vendor Liasion inclusive but not limited to payer id updates, case management, and vendor management. Position will coordinate and communicate effectively across PFS and cross-department, as well as leads meeting based on scope and lead additional projects as needed.

Qualifications

General Work Experience: 3-5 years directly related experience in health care, hospital patient billing, follow up and collections, including some knowledge of collection laws. Knowledge of insurance regulations, HIPAA compliance standards and payer contracts. Possess the skills and knowledge to take a leadership role as needed to represent the unit in meetings; deal with customers, staff and other departments in a professional, courteous and assertive manner. Strong math skills. Working knowledge of Excel and Word. keyboard, calculator, fax, copy machine, printer.
Preferred Education – Associates
Preferred Education Field of Study – Business
Required Education – High School Diploma or Equivalent

Salary Information Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $40,062.27 to $60,093.40
Hourly Salary Range: $19.26 to $28.89
