Providence is calling a Biomedical Equipment Technician I (Biomedical Engineering,Day-shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:
Perform major/minor repairs and inspects safety of complex medical equipment using manufacturer’s recommendations, departmental standards and procedures, diagnostics and accepted engineering standards, and comprehends medical electronic equipment systems to a high degree
Analyze data from inspections, performance tests, periodic maintenance, and major/minor repairs of complex medical equipment for the preparation of appropriate documentation
Participate in the department’s afterhours, rotating call schedule
Attend and satisfactorily completes service training as requested
Present in-services when requested my manager or lead
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Valid driver’s license
Proficiency in use of computers and standard biomedical maintenance tools and test equipment
One (1) year of experience repairing biomedical equipment
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Associate’s degree in Biomedical Technology, Electronics Technology, military or technical school certificate
