Position : Building Automation Project Manager

Job Description : Continual Energy Inc. deploys cutting-edge, specialized energy solutions for buildings. We are currently looking for experienced project managers to coordinate the implementation of heating, cooling and ventilation controls and optimization projects for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.Core Responsibilities: Establish, maintain, and meet project schedule and budget based on sold project deliverables and client timetables.Manage and coordinate design and installation teams, including subcontractors.Manage multiple concurrent projects.Ensure project scopes are delivered accurately, under-budget, and on-time.Meet with clients, management, and trades to coordinate project execution.Provide regular project status updates to key project stakeholders.Schedule and oversee project equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning.Travel to multiple client sites within the GTA, with occasional office work required.Skills Required: Minimum of five years project management experience or demonstrated leadership activities.P.Eng. or be able to qualify within one year, a senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience and abilities will also be considered.Knowledge of mechanical and/or HVAC systems.Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC).Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of interacting and coordinating with clients and multiple team members daily.Capable of conducting client presentations, organizing, and attending meetings.Review and manage the design in terms of construction budgets.Prepare calculations, equipment selection.Ability to interpret and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.Thorough knowledge and comprehension of (construction) project procurement methodologies.Responsible for quality management of all project deliverables.Promotes and enforces company standards relating to project administration, documentation, processes, and safety.Prepare all change notices or review change notices issued by contract administration team and advise of all changes in scope of work and coordinate with sales for generation of proposals for submission to client.Supports accounts receivable.Prepare and monitor a schedule of tasks and critical data throughout project.Liaises with external subcontractors, vendors, and key stakeholders.Ability to delegate, take direction, work in a fast-paced team and collaborative environment, multi-task, and maintain organization.Manage and ensure proper coordination between all teams.Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and ability to work independently.Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, methods, and standards.Very comfortable with Windows-based computer systems and computer networks.Additional desired skills, but not required:Mechanical Degree/DiplomaPMP DesignationIndustry experience with Building Automation and Direct Digital Controls (DDC)Qualifications and Education Required: Minimum of five years project management experience or demonstrated leadership activities.P.Eng. or be able to qualify within one year, a senior C.E.T. with equivalent experience and abilities will also be considered.Compensation: Salary range $75,000 to $115,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications.Three (3) weeks of vacation.Ten (10) paid days off (sick days).Health benefits package after ninety (90) day probationary period, includes dental and vision.Company vehicle.Potential for bonus pay.Potential for tuition reimbursement.Schedule: Typical work week is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.Occasional overtime or after-hours/weekend work required.COVID-19 Considerations: Proof of vaccination as required by client sites and general contractors.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including masks, rapid testing, etc.Other: Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.Applications must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.Capable of passing an Ontario Contractor Security Screening Check (no criminal record).Work RemotelyNoJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $75,000.00-$115,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:Bonus payOvertime payBenefits:Company carDental careExtended health carePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision careSchedule:8 hour shiftExpected start date: 2022-02-14
