Job Description : BUILDING MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATEKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesEstablishes, monitors, and carries out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment, and grounds. Ensures building and equipment meet all safety, security and fire regulations and policies. Makes recommendations for major repairs and purchases to supervisor.Oversees and participates in facility maintenance related to carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical and plumbing maintenance, and repairs such as repairing furniture, constructing shelves, applying paint, repairing drywall, disassembling and reassembling equipment.Monitors work performed by contractors, prepares estimates of labor and material costs, arranges for contractors to perform repairs through “My Facility” and supervises their work.Coordinates waste and recyclable material collection and removal. Ensures the safe disposal of hazardous materials.Cleans external areas such as entranceways, sidewalks and parking lots using manual and power brooms, rakes, shovels and other equipment to remove dirt, leaves, snow and other refuse.Completes and maintains related records such as maintenance logs and security incident reports.Transports equipment, furniture and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts. Operates a motor vehicle to pick up and move goods and supplies.Oversee and participate in installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of plumbing fixtures and fittings including sinks, toilets, faucets, and repair leaks and stoppages.Oversee and participate in performing general maintenance duties inside and outside of facilities; install and repair masonry including concrete, brick, stucco, plaster, and tile; perform maintenance painting including application of paints, varnishes, and lacquers; install, repair, and adjust appliances; perform necessary preparation and clean-up work.Operate various maintenance equipment and hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner; maintain tools and assigned equipment; perform preventive maintenance on equipment.Inspect work done by contractor for conformity to specifications; recommend corrective actions as necessary.Prepare basic records and reports of work accomplished and maintenance requests.Estimate time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned; requisitions materials as required.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $25.00-$35.00 per hourBenefits:Dental careEmployee assistance programEmployee stock purchase planExtended health careLife insurancePaid time offStock optionsVision careSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayOvertime
