Nelnet Community Engagement (NCE) is seeking an experienced and well-qualified Technical Writer / Business Analyst to join our existing product team. If you are looking to hit the ground running and be busy and engaged with a growing and supportive engineering group, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities
Solicit and clarify business needs/requirements from product leads for SaaS features/enhancements
Collaborate with product designers
Analyze, define, and document detailed software requirements
Act as a liaison between all internal stakeholders: conveying feature needs and progress utilizing our Product Development Process
Produce and update team documentation for internal processes
Be an internal champion of our Agile process, helping the team stick to valuable Minimum Viable Products
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years as a business analyst, preferably in an Agile environment
Passion for accurately capturing and communicating both business and detailed technical requirements for software
Ability to conduct interviews with key stakeholders to gather pertinent information to understand logistical functionality
Motivation to independently explore product features and market needs
Interest in problem-solving and “big picture” thinking
Excellent writing skills
Extreme attention to detail
Strong time management and organization skills
Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively

are an eloquent communicator – whether in person, by phone, or in writing
are equally comfortable talking with both developers and non-techies alike

have experience working with or within a software organization
Nice-to-Haves or Things-You-Might-Learn
Experience with Kanban and JIRA/Confluence
Practice writing Gherkin-based acceptance criteria
Knowledge of roadmap planning/prioritization
An interest in Human-Centered Design and UX excellence

The salary range for this position is $75-90k (commensurate with experience).
