Job Description : The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has an opportunity for a detail-oriented Certification Specialist who enjoys working with computers within the Office of Inspector General.

This position provides program support to the Certification Bureau with federal survey reports, the certified nurse aide program, and nurse aide training programs. Responsibilities include processing data, letters, and reports based on surveys and information requests made to the Bureau regarding participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. This position works with the certification process for the nurse aide program in Montana which includes approving or denying new nurse aide applications and recertification applications, corresponding with applicants and other agencies, and reviewing training curriculums to ensure they meet federal mandates. This position also assists with nominating and tracking bureau staff for federal training programs when necessary.

Meet minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three years of job-related work experience (database management, use of office computer programs, and customer service in person and over the telephone).
Experience working with federal Medicare and Medicaid regulations and database management is preferred.
