What you’ll be doing
Accidents happen. And when they do, our claims department is right there, investigating and evaluating claims, and then negotiating settlements that are fair to our customers and our company.
As a Claims Adjuster, you will:
Conduct investigations of various auto and property claims over the phone.
Accurately record information, and analyze photos and police/medical reports.
Determine coverage and liability by applying provisions of policy contracts in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality procedures.
Use your people skills and business smarts to provide excellent customer service by communicating with policyholders, claimants and vendors to promptly resolve problems.
Utilize the claims system in the processing, documentation and settlement of claims.
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of investigation and negotiation techniques, as well as legal and medical terminology, homeowner and comparative negligence concepts, fraud recognition and insurance coverage
Bodily Injury experience (strongly preferred)
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and sound judgment
A strong sense of organization to keep you on top of a large volume of calls
Ability to meet state licensing requirements
Educational Requirements
High School degree or equivalent, some college helpful
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $58,000 – $72,000.00 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. The company also offers a full range of medical, financial and other benefits, including eligibility for the company’s performance sharing plan and paid time off such as holidays, vacation, sick and personal days.
